- 1Disc Based Magazines
- 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
-
- 1LUNCHTIME
-
- 3This is a new disc based magazine that has been ported over
- 3from the Amiga by Dr Doggie Phd.(c. Eng.)!!!
- 3It’s fun and has nothing to do with computers. It’s full of
- 3crazy articles and the odd serious one. The graphics are very
- 3good and I can recommend it 100%.
-
- 1LUNCHTIME II
- 1( Hamsters on the Prowl)
-
- 3This is even better than the first issue. The graphics are
- 3outstanding and the articles are varied and some very funny.
-
- 1LUNCHTIME III
- 1(Edward’s Revenge)
-
- 3Another great issue. As with Lunchtime II it is archived.
- 3You will have to transfer the contents of this disc on to two
- 3new discs. The start up screen is both superb and impressive.
- 3The articles are up to their usual standard with a good mix of
- 3subjects, humour and excellent graphics.
-
- 1LUNCHTIME FOUR
- 1(Yul Brynner’s Memorial Toolshed)
-
- 3They have done it again a brilliant mix of sound graphics and
- 3some very good articles. Remember none of the articles have
- 3got a computing theme. Putting it on disc is just a very
- 3friendly thing to do.
-
- 3This issue is archived and comes with the first issue on the
- 3same disc.
-
-
- 1Opinions 1 and 2
- 1~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
- 3Opinions is a disc based magazine for users of the Acorn
- 3Archimedes, A3000 and A5000. As far as I am aware, it is the
- 3only truly Public Domain (ie all issues are PD not just the
- 3first one) magazine which is all about the Acorn RISC-OS range.
- 3This is the first and second issue on one disc. It contains
- 3news, reviews, and Public Domain information and some very good
- 3graphics screens.
-
- 3It is produced by Linton Dawe. As with all Lintons’ projects
- 3I am sure this will be another outstanding success.
-
-
- 1Opinions 3
- 1~~~~~~~~~~
- 3The third issue of this interesting disc magazine. This issue
- 3features the following subjects:
-
- 3Sound output on the Archimedes and how to improve it - Games
- 3and PD reviews - DTP and Fonts and more great graphics.
-
- 3If you would like to voice any of your opinions on any aspect
- 3of the Archimedes scene then send Linton an article.
-
-
- 1Opinions 4
- 1~~~~~~~~~~
- 3The fourth issue of this great magazine. This issue covers
- 3the following:
-
- 3!TheMag! is the main magazine, !Colour! contains some pretty
- 3graphics screens and !ThePD! contains some of the public domain
- 3software mentioned in the P.D. pages. As with other issues it
- 3is well put together and easy to use.
-
-
- 1NEW DAWN
- 1~~~~~~~~
-
- 3This is by a very large margin the best PD disc magazine.
-
- 3It contains 100K of text files which include an editorial,
- 3articles on software, hints ‘n’ tips on Amiga to Arc software
- 3transfer, cheat on Enter the Realm and how to get the best
- 3from !Paint.
-
- 3Info on sound and multimedia with details on how to contribute
- 3to the magazine.
-
- 3Information on graphics, this issue deals with Mandelbrots,
- 3Quantums MegaDemo and words of wisdom from Narc, Quantum’s
- 3graphics man.
- 3The first part of a great sci-fi story called Venera.
-
- 3Not only do you get these well written articles with a neat
- 3front end and with lots of music, four in total, a different
- 3tune with each major part of the magazine. But it also has
- 3a great game called SYLPH. This was written by Tom Cooper and
- 3is a up market version of Jet Set Willy, fly around with your
- 3rocket back pack and blast the nasties and collect the goodies.
- 3To top all this off the magazine also includes a great flight
- 3simulator called 1914. Fly your World War 1 plane and destroy
- 3the enemies airfields and planes. Great.
-
- 3As I have said above this is the best magazine for the Acorn
- 3range of super computers. You will require 2megs or more the
- 3archived file contains over 1300k of interesting articles and
- 3top class software designed to give you hours of fun.
-
-
- 1F!Thumper2
- 1~~~~~~~~~~
- 3The second issue of Thumper by Robin Jubber. This issue features
-
- 3¤ Three tunes to choose from by pressing Adjust including one
- 3very bad one with my little sister on lead vocals.
- 3¤ After Dark. Game news with *screenshots*!
- 3¤ The ChapterHouse. Loads of cheat modules.
- 3¤ Games- Nasty2+designer.
- 3¤ Many pictures accompanying the articles.
- 3¤ Extra tracker + symphony modules + ray trace file + Jpeg file
- 3+jpeg reader + speed utility etc.
- 3¤ Picture gallery. Luverly.
-
-
- 1Entropy
- 3The first issue of Entropy by P. Lurcock & P. Taphouse. It was
- 3produced using MEditate v.3.31 The Magazine Editor from the crew
- 3who produce the Lunchtime magazine.
- 3You are given a choice of music, or none at all and there are
- 3articles on Nova Paint, the Oak recorder to name but two.
- 3A good first issue.
